Faith Crisis and Support.

Are you questioning your beliefs, feeling lost in your faith, healing from religious trauma, or seeking to rebuild a spiritual foundation?

Faith is deeply personal. It can bring comfort, identity, and purpose—but it can also raise painful questions, create tension in relationships, or lead to inner conflict when your lived experiences don’t align with what you've been taught.

Whatever your story may be, I offer a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs safely and honestly.

What Is Faith Navigation Therapy?

Faith Navigation Therapy is a form of counseling that supports people as they work through questions or transitions related to their faith or spirituality.

It’s about honoring your experience—whether you're trying to make sense of doubts, recover from religious harm, or reconnect with something deeper within yourself.

This work doesn’t assume you need to arrive at any particular destination. Instead, it’s about walking with you while you figure out what direction feels most true to you—whether that’s:

Rebuilding or deepening your current faith, creating distance from a faith tradition, exploring new beliefs or practices, or simply making space for uncertainty.

My approach.

I approach faith and doubt counseling with deep respect for your story and identity. My goal is not to guide you toward a specific conclusion, but to help you feel grounded, whole, and at peace as you navigate uncertainty.

In our work together:

You set the pace. I’ll meet you where you are—there is no agenda, no pressure to resolve everything quickly.

You can speak freely. This is a space free of judgment, shame, or assumptions.

Your story matters. Your background, beliefs, doubts, and pain are all honored as part of the process.

I bring a combination of professional training and personal understanding to this work. I know what it’s like to ask hard questions, to feel alone in those questions, and to need a safe place to land. You don’t have to do this alone.

What If I'm Not Religious?

You’re still welcome here. Faith navigation isn’t limited to those within a specific religion. Many people who identify as spiritual but not religious, agnostic, atheist, or simply unsure still carry deep experiences, wounds, or longings related to faith.
This work can be about meaning-making, identity, healing, and exploring what feels authentic for you, no matter what labels you do or don’t use.

You Deserve Peace, Not Perfection

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need to be certain or faithful or even hopeful to start this process. You just need to be willing to explore your experience honestly—with someone who will hold space for all of it.
Whether you’re moving toward faith, away from it, or simply trying to breathe in the in-between, I’m here to support your process—not direct it.

Navigating faith and spirituality can be terrifying and uncomfortable. I hope to make it relieving, comforting, and healing. Let me help answer all of the questions you have.

  • Will you try to influence what I believe?

Never. My goal is to provide you with a safe understanding place to explore your feelings and questions to find peace wherever that leads you. I want to help you understand yourself and find direction within. I know it can feel overwhelming to have contradicting thoughts, feelings or beliefs. I know it can be scary to sometimes to have thoughts that challenge your life and beliefs as you've known them or talk about things you never have before. I also know shame dies in the light and we all need someone we can trust to open up with so we don't have to feel like we're stuck or drowning by ourselves with no one to offer a hand.

  • Do you understand religious culture and faith transitions?

I believe my life has led me to be the exact type of counselor someone on a faith journey might need. I have had my own journey of leaving a faith, and coming back. I can appreciate why someone would question and find a path away from religion. I can also understand why someone would want to hold onto or return to their faith.

  • Can I explore doubts without being judged?

I have a deep respect for where someone is, and the importance for them to feel understanding with where they currently are. This is a judgement free zone with someone who understands the complexity of faith navigation, transitions or crises. I aim to help you sort out your thoughts and emotions and feel seen.

  • Will I be pressured to stay in or leave my religion?

Not at all. I will never pressure you to stay or leave your religion. My goal is to help you find peace and clarity in your beliefs and how you live your life, whether that looks like renewed or new connection to your faith, a shift in what your practice of faith looks like, or a new path away from your previous beliefs.

  • Can I talk openly about negative experiences with religion?

Yes, I hope you can feel safe with me to allow our space to be an extension of your mind. I hope you can share all of your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I will always hold space for your experiences and feelings as valid and important. I take no offense or feel the need to contradict what someone else believes, feels, or thinks. I am honored to be someone you can share with.

  • What if I want to keep parts of my faith but let go of others?

I will support you in exploring your feelings and thoughts about your faith, regardless of the path you choose to take. Sometimes keeping parts is what someone determines they need. I will help you sort through all of your thoughts and concerns and help you decide what is best for your life, what you believe, and what will bring you peace.

  • Can I explore spirituality without feeling pressured toward a particular answer?

Yes, I have no agenda for your time aside from what you want. You may want someone to help you understand what you're feeling, thinking or experiencing without any destination in mind. You many feel an internal pressure to make a choice and I can help you determine if you want to make a choice, what choices you want to make, or peace in the uncertainty until you're ready for to make choices or gain some clarity that gives you peace in how you're already living.

  • Will you understand the guilt, fear, grief, or family conflict that can come with changing beliefs?

I have had my own experiences that give me great understanding of these emotions and conflicts that can occur. I also will take the time to listen and understand your specific situations and the people and dynamics that are unique and important to you. I will not assume them to be just like mine.

  • Can you help me navigate relationships with family members who have different beliefs?

I love the practice of helping people navigate relationships with family members, loved ones, as well as themselves. I can help you understand yourself and others as you make changes and navigate your faith and the dynamics change.I also can help you if someone you care about is navigating their faith in new ways and you're the one feeling left behind, scared, or confused by the changes.
